India rapidly deploys facial recognition technology (FRT) across policing, airports, and public spaces without a dedicated legal framework governing its use. **जनगणना में पहली बार जाति का कॉलम**

आजादी के बाद पहली बार भारत की जनगणना में जाति से जुड़ा सवाल पूछा जाएगा। सरकार ने जनगणना प्रश्नावली जारी कर दी है, जिसमें करीब 40 सवाल शामिल हैं। इनमें जाति के अलावा कोविड वैक्सीन कहां लगवाई, कितने बैंक अकाउंट हैं, मोबाइल-इंटरनेट की सुविधा, शिक्षा, आय का स्रोत, मकान का प्रकार, पीने के पानी का स्रोत, शौचालय की उपलब्धता जैसे सवाल पूछे जाएंगे। यह जनगणना डिजिटल तरीके से होगी। इससे सरकार को नीति निर्माण, आरक्षण और कल्याणकारी योजनाओं के लिए सटीक डेटा मिलेगा। OBC जाति गणना की मांग लंबे समय से हो रही थी।
